Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know.


Yet for your sake we are killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.


He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.


“Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear not the reproach of man, nor be dismayed at their revilings.


Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you and cast you out for my name’s sake have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy’; but it is they who shall be put to shame.


And Jeremiah said, “It is a lie; I am not deserting to the Chaldeans.” But Irijah would not listen to him, and seized Jeremiah and brought him to the officials.


and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles.


and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.


It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household.


Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.


And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.


“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.


But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake.


You will be hated by all for my name’s sake.


“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!


For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.


But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.


And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.


For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”


As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”


We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute.


For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.


For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,


When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.


If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.


I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary.
