Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it?


Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.


Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.”


Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly.


“Therefore, hear me, you men of understanding: far be it from God that he should do wickedness, and from the Almighty that he should do wrong.


Of a truth, God will not do wickedly, and the Almighty will not pervert justice.


“Behold, God will not reject a blameless man, nor take the hand of evildoers.


Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert the right?


The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah


Mankind will say, “Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely there is a God who judges on earth.”


If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow;


When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah


Rise up, O judge of the earth; repay to the proud what they deserve!


before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.


I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.


In my vain life I have seen everything. There is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man who prolongs his life in his evildoing.


But, O Lord of hosts, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you have I committed my cause.


Righteous are you, O Lord, when I complain to you; yet I would plead my case before you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who are treacherous thrive?


“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?


Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.


And they fell on their faces and said, “O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?”


For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.


And I charged your judges at that time, ‘Hear the cases between your brothers, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the alien who is with him.


You shall not be partial in judgment. You shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not be intimidated by anyone, for the judgment is God’s. And the case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.’


“The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.


and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,


I therefore have not sinned against you, and you do me wrong by making war on me. The Lord, the Judge, decide this day between the people of Israel and the people of Ammon.”
