\{I tell you these things will happen, but you don’t understand me. My words\} are like the words in a book that is closed and sealed. {\cf2\super [269]} You can give the book to a person that can read, and tell that person to read the book. But that person will say, “I can’t read the book. It is closed and I can’t open it.”
Look at the Lord’s scroll. {\cf2\super [326]} Read what is written there. Nothing is missing. It is written in that scroll that those animals will be together. God said he will gather them together. So God’s Spirit will gather them together.
Isaiah said, “Make an agreement and seal {\cf2\super [103]} it. Save my teachings for the future. Do this while my followers are watching.
“The vision about those times, and the things I said, are true. But seal {\cf2\super [98]} the vision. Those things won’t happen for a long, long time.”
The angel was holding a small scroll. {\cf2\super [74]} The scroll was open in his hand. The angel put his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.
The One who sat on the throne looked like precious stones, like jasper and carnelian. All around the throne was a rainbow with clear colors like an emerald.
These living things give glory and honor and thanks to the One who sits on the throne. He is the One who lives forever and ever. And every time the living things do this,
Then I heard every living thing that is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. I heard every thing in all these places. I heard them all saying:
The Lamb came and took the scroll {\cf2\super [42]} from the right hand of the One sitting on the throne.
Then I watched while the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. I heard one of the four living things speak with a voice like thunder. It said, “Come!”
The people said to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us. Hide us from the face of the One who sits on the throne. Hide us from the anger of the Lamb!
The Lamb opened the seventh seal. Then there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
