“Tell all the people of Israel: I am the Lord your God! I am holy, so you must be holy!


“Remember my commands, and obey them. I am the Lord!


I am the Lord your God. I am the One who brought you out of Egypt. I did this to be your God. I am the Lord your God.”


So brothers and sisters, I beg you to do something. God has shown us great mercy. So offer your lives as a living sacrifice {\cf2\super [130]} to God. Your offering must be only for God and will be pleasing to him. This offering of yourselves is the spiritual way for you to worship (serve) God.


In Christ, God chose us before the world was made. God chose us in love to be his holy people {\cf2\super [4]} —people with no wrong in us before him.


To the holy {\cf2\super [2]} and faithful brothers and sisters in Christ that live in Colossae. Grace (kindness) and peace from God our Father.


God called us to be holy. He does not want us to live in sin.
