These Greek people went to Philip. (Philip was from Bethsaida, in Galilee.) The Greek people said, “Sir, we want to meet Jesus.”
Philip said to Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need.”
Jesus did not need any person to tell him about people. Jesus knew what was in a person’s mind.
Jesus looked up and saw many people coming toward him. Jesus said to Philip, “Where can we buy enough bread for all these people to eat?”
Philip answered, “We would all have to work a month to buy enough bread for each person here to have only a little piece!”
The secret things in that person’s heart will be made known. So that person will bow down and worship God. He will say, “Truly, God is with you.”
So don’t judge before the right time; wait until the Lord comes. He will shine light on the things that are hidden in darkness. He will make known the secret purposes of people’s hearts. Then God will give every person the praise he should get.
