‘If a foreigner resides with you and wants to observe the Passover to the Lord,  he is to do it according to the Passover statute and its ordinances. You are to apply the same statute to both the resident foreigner and the native of the land.’

The Israelites who had returned from exile  ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the uncleanness of the Gentiles of the land  , in order to worship the Lord, the God of Israel.


The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, ‘This is the statute of the Passover: no foreigner may eat it.


The whole community of Israel must celebrate  it.


Do not strip your vineyard bare or gather its fallen grapes. Leave them for the poor  and the resident foreigner;  I am the Lord your God.


Neither you nor  a foreigner are to present food to your God from any of these animals. They will not be accepted for you because they are deformed and have a defect.’


You are to have the same law for the resident foreigner and the native, because I am the Lord your God.’


You are to make the purchase from your neighbour based on the number of years since the last Jubilee. He is to sell to you based on the number of remaining harvest years.


The assembly is to have the same statute for both you and the resident foreigner as a permanent statute throughout your generations.  You and the foreigner will be alike before the Lord.


The same law and the same ordinance will apply to both you and the foreigner who resides with you.’
