This one will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt #– #my covenant that they broke even though I am their master’  ,  #– #the Lord’s declaration.


After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.


So he went to her, took her by the hand, and raised her up.  The fever  left her,  and she began to serve  them.


He took the blind man by the hand and brought him out of the village. Spitting  on his eyes and laying his hands on  him, he asked him, ‘Do you see anything? ’


But Jesus, taking him by the hand, raised him,  and he stood up.


After he came to the house, he let no one enter with him except Peter, John, James,  and the child’s father and mother.


They laughed at him, because they knew she was dead.


Her spirit returned,  and she got up at once. Then he gave orders that she be given something to eat.


After he said this, he shouted with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out! ’


And just as the Father raises   the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom he wants.


Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning towards the body said, ‘Tabitha, get up.’ She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.


As it is written: I have made you the father of many nations  #– #  , in the presence of the God in whom he believed, the one who gives life to the dead  and calls  things into existence that do not exist.
