Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt: the covenant which they made void, and I had dominion over them, saith the Lord.


And when the multitude was put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand. And the maid arose.


And coming to her, he lifted her up, taking her by the hand; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.


And taking the blind man by the hand, he led him out of the town; and spitting upon his eyes, laying his hands on him, he asked him if he saw any thing.


And when he was come into the house, his disciples secretly asked him: Why could not we cast him out?


And when he was come to the house, he suffered not any man to go in with him, but Peter and James and John, and the father and mother of the maiden.


And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.


And her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And he bid them give her to eat.


When he had said these things, he cried with a loud voice: Lazarus, come forth.


For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and giveth life: so the Son also giveth life to whom he will.


And they all being put forth, Peter kneeling down prayed, and turning to the body, he said: Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and seeing Peter, she sat up.


(As it is written: I have made thee a father of many nations,) before God, whom he believed, who quickeneth the dead; and calleth those things that are not, as those that are.
