I will bless her; indeed, I will give you a son by her.  I will bless her, and she will produce nations; kings of peoples will come from her.’


As for Ishmael, I have heard you. I will certainly bless him; I will make him fruitful and will multiply him greatly. He will father twelve tribal leaders,  and I will make him into a great nation.


May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you  so that you become an assembly of peoples.


I will say to the north, “Give them up! ” and to the south, “Do not hold them back! ” Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the ends of the earth   –


Who, like me, can announce the future? Let him say so and make a case before me, since I have established an ancient people. Let these gods declare  the coming things, and what will take place.


My own hand founded the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summoned them, they stood up together.


See, these will come from far away, from the north and from the west,  , and from the land of Sinim.  ,


Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who gave birth to you. When I called him, he was only one; I blessed him and made him many.


You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.


And don’t presume to say to yourselves, “We have Abraham as our father.”  For I tell you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.


And just as the Father raises   the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom he wants.


‘Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here,   when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.


The Spirit   is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.


Or is God the God of Jews only?  Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,


He believed, hoping against hope, so that he became the father of many nations   , according to what had been spoken: So will your descendants be.   ,


If Abraham was justified  by works,  he has something to boast about #– #but not before God.


And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead  lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through  his Spirit who lives in you.


For though her sons had not been born yet or done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election might stand   –


And it will be in the place where they were told, you are not my people, there they will be called sons of the living God.   ,


God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world   #– #what is viewed as nothing #– #to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,


So it is written, The first man Adam became a living being;  , the last Adam  became a life-giving spirit.


In the presence of God, who gives life to all,  and of Christ Jesus, who gave a good confession before Pontius Pilate,  I charge you


Therefore, from one man #– #in fact, from one as good as dead #– #came offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and as innumerable as the grains of sand along the seashore.


By faith we understand that the universe was  created by the word of God,  so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.


By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.


Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy,  but now you have received mercy.


Dear friends, don’t overlook this one fact: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.
