This is what the Lord says: Where is your mother’s divorce certificate that I used to send her away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Look, you were sold for your iniquities, and your mother was sent away because of your transgressions.


The Lord announced to me, ‘Unfaithful Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah.


‘Our father died in the wilderness, but he was not among Korah’s followers, who gathered together against the Lord.  Instead, he died because of his own sin, and he had no sons.


‘That servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii.   , He grabbed him, started choking him, and said, “Pay what you owe! ”


And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.


‘You give them something to eat,’ he responded. They said to him, ‘Should we go and buy two hundred denarii  worth of bread and give them something to eat? ’


And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone in debt to us.   , And do not bring us into temptation.’   ,


But the one who did not know and did what deserved   punishment will receive a light beating. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be expected.   ,


Or those eighteen that the tower in Siloam   fell on and killed #– #do you think they were more sinful than all the other people who live in Jerusalem?

The law came along to multiply the trespass.  But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even more,
