Make holy garments  for your brother Aaron, for glory and beauty.


Take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil,  and sprinkle them on Aaron and his garments, as well as on his sons and their garments. So he and his garments will be holy, as well as his sons and their garments.


Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate  them to serve me as priests.


The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal  the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;


to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the  Lord to glorify him.


Moses said to Aaron, ‘This is what the Lord has spoken: I will demonstrate my holiness  , to those who are near me, and I will reveal my glory  , before all the people.’ And Aaron remained silent.


This is the portion from the food offerings to the Lord for Aaron and his sons  since the day they were presented to serve the Lord as priests.


The Lord commanded this to be given to them by the Israelites on the day he anointed them.  It is a permanent portion throughout their generations.


He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed and consecrated him.


These are the names of Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.


For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father.  That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,


according to the foreknowledge  of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit,  to be obedient  and to be sprinkled with the blood  of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be multiplied to you.


As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, his anointing teaches you about all things  and is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you,  remain in him.


I said to him, ‘Sir,  you know.’ Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.  They washed their robes and made them white  in the blood of the Lamb.
