But will God indeed live on earth with humans? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain you, much less this temple I have built.


Their measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea.


Isn’t God as high as the heavens? And look at the highest stars #– #how lofty they are!


Sheol  is naked before God, and Abaddon  has no covering.


Look at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds high above you.


The Almighty #– #we cannot reach him – he is exalted in power! He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness,


Have the gates  of death been revealed to you? Have you seen the gates of deep darkness?


As a cloud fades away and vanishes, so the one who goes down to Sheol  will never rise again.


Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his hands? Who has bound up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son – if you know?


‘For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.


If they dig down to Sheol, from there my hand will take them; if they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down.
