They were subject to Chedorlaomer for twelve years, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.


Three of the thirty leading warriors went down at harvest time and came to David at the cave of Adullam,  while a company of Philistines was camping in Rephaim Valley.


So the Philistines came and spread out in Rephaim Valley.


The Philistines came up again and spread out in Rephaim Valley.


Three of the thirty chief men went down to David, to the rock at the cave of Adullam,  while the Philistine army was encamped in Rephaim Valley.


Now the Philistines had come and raided in Rephaim Valley,


They found rich, good pasture, and the land was broad, peaceful, and quiet,  for some Hamites had lived there previously.


It will be as if a reaper had gathered standing corn – his arm harvesting the ears of corn – and as if one had gleaned ears of corn in Rephaim Valley.
