Then the Lord came down  to look over the city and the tower that the humans  were building.


Come, let’s go down there and confuse their language so that they will not understand one another’s speech.’


I will go down  to see if what they have done justifies the cry that has come up to me. If not, I will find out.’


You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.


God replied to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.  , This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.’


The people believed, and when they heard that the Lord had paid attention  to them and that he had seen their misery,  they knelt low and worshipped.


If only you would tear the heavens open and come down, so that mountains would quake at your presence   –


The Lord brought Israel from Egypt by a prophet, and Israel was tended by a prophet.


Indeed, I brought you up  from the land of Egypt and redeemed you  from that place of slavery. I sent Moses,  Aaron, and Miriam  ahead of you.


Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them.  They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.


No one has ascended   into heaven   except the one who descended from heaven   #– #the Son of Man.   ,


For I have come down from heaven,   not to do my own will, but the will of him   who sent me.


Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for the Israelites, the Lord was with  him and saved the people from the power of their enemies while the judge was still alive. The Lord was moved to pity whenever they groaned because of those who were oppressing and afflicting them.
