Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his hands? Who has bound up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son – if you know?


teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,   I am with you always,   to the end of the age.’


Jesus told him, ‘Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man   has no place to lay his head.’


No one has ever seen God. The one and only  Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s  side   #– #he has revealed him.


Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into his hands,  that he had come from God,  and that he was going back to God.


Now, Father,   glorify me in your presence with that glory   I had with you before the world existed.


If I have told you about earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?


The one who comes from above  is above all. The one who is from the earth is earthly and speaks in earthly terms.  The one who comes from heaven is above all.


For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.’


For I have come down from heaven,   not to do my own will, but the will of him   who sent me.


They were saying, ‘Isn’t this Jesus the son of Joseph,  whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, “I have come down from heaven”? ’


not that anyone has seen the Father   except the one who is from God.   He has seen the Father.


I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live   for ever.   The bread that I will give for the life   of the world is my flesh.’


Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man   ascending   to where he was before?


Jesus said to them, ‘If God were your Father, you would love me,   because I came from God   and I am here. For I didn’t come on my own, but he sent me.


For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says: The Lord declared to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand


Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock  of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers,  to shepherd the church of God,  which he purchased with his own blood.


But the righteousness that comes from faith  speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will go up to heaven? ’   , that is, to bring Christ down


The first man was from the earth, a man of dust;  the second man is  from heaven.


which is his body,  the fullness  of the one who fills all things  in every way.


It is not in heaven so that you have to ask, “Who will go up to heaven, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it? ”
