Then the angel of God,  who was going in front of the Israelite forces, moved and went behind them. The pillar of cloud moved from in front of them and stood behind them.


During the morning watch, the Lord looked down at the Egyptian forces from the pillar of fire  and cloud, and threw the Egyptian forces into confusion.


‘Who made you a commander and judge over us? ’ the man replied. ‘Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian? ’ Then Moses became afraid and thought, ‘What I did is certainly known.’


Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about; see, my angel will go before you. But on the day I settle accounts, I will hold them accountable for their sin.’


I will send an angel ahead of you and will drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hethites, Perizzites,  Hivites, and Jebusites.


In all their suffering, he suffered,  , and the angel of his presence saved them. He redeemed them because of his love and compassion; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.


When we cried out to the Lord, he heard our plea,  and sent an angel,  , and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the border of your territory.


And as for the dead being raised #– #haven’t you read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God said to him: I   am the God of Abraham   and the God of Isaac   and the God of Jacob?


‘But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, “We don’t want this man to rule over us.”


They shouted back, ‘Not this man, but Barabbas! ’  Now Barabbas was a revolutionary.  ,


They shouted, ‘Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him! ’ Pilate said to them, ‘Should I crucify your king? ’ ‘We have no king but Caesar! ’ the chief priests answered.


‘Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.’


Moses said:  The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to everything he tells you.


God exalted this man to his right hand as ruler and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.


After forty years had passed, an angel  appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning bush.


‘You stiff-necked  people with uncircumcised hearts and ears!  You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As your ancestors did, you do also.


He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.


For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding  , and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment,


They sang the song of God’s servant Moses  and the song of the Lamb: Great and awe-inspiring are your works, Lord God, the Almighty; just and true  are your ways, King of the nations.  ,


But some wicked men said, ‘How can this man save us? ’ They despised him and did not bring him a gift,  but Saul said nothing.  ,


‘When Jacob went to Egypt,  your ancestors cried out to the Lord,  and he sent them Moses and Aaron, who led your ancestors out of Egypt and settled them in this place.
