Return their fields, vineyards, olive groves, and houses to them immediately, along with the percentage  of the money, grain, new wine, and fresh oil  that you have been assessing them.’


the owner of the pit must give compensation; he must pay to its owner, but the dead animal will become his.


‘When a man steals an ox or a sheep and butchers it or sells it, he must repay  five cattle for the ox or four sheep for the sheep.


Still, if caught, he must pay seven times as much; he must give up all the wealth in his house.


or anything else about which he swore falsely. He will make full restitution for it and add a fifth of its value to it.  He is to pay it to its owner on the day he acknowledges his guilt.

For judgement is without mercy to the one who has not shown mercy.  Mercy triumphs over judgement.
