‘Is he well? ’ Jacob asked. ‘Yes,’ they said, ‘and here is his daughter Rachel, coming with his sheep.’


Then Israel said to him, ‘Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are doing, and bring word back to me.’ So he sent him from the Hebron  Valley, and he went to Shechem.


He asked if they were well, and he said, ‘How is your elderly father that you told me about? Is he still alive? ’


The king asked, ‘Is the young man Absalom all right? ’ Ahimaaz replied, ‘When Joab sent the king’s servant and your servant, I saw a big disturbance, but I don’t know what it was.’


But he said, ‘Why go to him today? It’s not a New Moon or a Sabbath.’ She replied, ‘It’s all right.’


So she came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her at a distance, he said to his attendant Gehazi,  ‘Look, there’s the Shunammite woman.


When she came up to the man of God at the mountain, she clung to his feet.  Gehazi came to push her away, but the man of God said, ‘Leave her alone #– #she is in severe anguish,  and the Lord has hidden it from me. He hasn’t told me.’


Gehazi said, ‘It’s all right.  My master has sent me to say, “I have just now discovered that two young men from the sons of the prophets have come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them thirty-five kilograms  of silver and two sets of clothing.” ’


Moses said to Aaron, ‘This is what the Lord has spoken: I will demonstrate my holiness  , to those who are near me, and I will reveal my glory  , before all the people.’ And Aaron remained silent.


He said to him, ‘Run and tell this young man: Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the number of people and animals in it.’


After some time had passed, Paul said to Barnabas, ‘Let’s go back and visit the brothers and sisters in every town  where we have preached the word of the Lord and see how they’re doing.’


Also take these ten portions of cheese to the field commander.  Check on the well-being of your brothers  and bring a token from them.


So Samuel told him everything and did not hide anything from him. Eli responded, ‘He is the Lord. Let him do what he thinks is good.’
