Ahaziah died according to the word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken. Since he had no son, Joram  , became king in his place. This happened in the second year of Judah’s King Jehoram  son of Jehoshaphat.

The flour jar did not become empty, and the oil jug did not run dry, according to the word of the Lord which he had spoken through  Elijah.


Then someone washed the chariot at the pool of Samaria. The dogs licked up his blood, and the prostitutes bathed in it, according to the word of the Lord that he had spoken.


Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king; he reigned for twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah daughter of Shilhi.


Ahaziah  son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria  in the seventeenth year of Judah’s King Jehoshaphat,  and he reigned over Israel for two years.

When Jehu came to Samaria, he struck down all who remained from the house of Ahab in Samaria until he had annihilated his house, according to the word of the Lord spoken to Elijah.


Joram son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria during the eighteenth year of Judah’s King Jehoshaphat, and he reigned for twelve years.


So they went back and told him, and he said, ‘This fulfils the Lord’s word that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite: “In the plot of land at Jezreel, the dogs will eat Jezebel’s flesh.


His son Jehoshaphat became king in his place  and strengthened himself against Israel.


So Moses the servant of the Lord   died there in the land of Moab, according to the Lord’s word.
