You established your people Israel to be your own people for ever, and you, Lord, have become their God.


I will sow her  in the land for myself, and I will have compassion on Lo-ruhamah; I will say to Lo-ammi: You are my people, and he will say, ‘You are my God.’


But I ask, ‘Did Israel not understand? ’ First, Moses said, I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.   ,


As you once disobeyed God but now have received mercy through their disobedience,


Now about virgins:  I have no command from the Lord, but I do give an opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy  is faithful.


even though I was formerly a blasphemer,  a persecutor,  and an arrogant man.  But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief,


Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
