so they too have now disobeyed, resulting in mercy to you, so that they also may now  receive mercy.


and so that Gentiles  may glorify God for his mercy.  As it is written, Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to your name.   ,


Now about virgins:  I have no command from the Lord, but I do give an opinion as one who by the Lord’s mercy  is faithful.


Therefore, since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy,  we do not give up.


and you once walked in these things when you were living  in them.


Timothy, my son, I am giving you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies  previously made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the good fight,


And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, if not to those who disobeyed?


Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy,  but now you have received mercy.
