I answered them that it is not the Roman custom to give someone up before the accused faces the accusers and has an opportunity for a defence against the charges.
If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, he should recognise that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.
If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, because you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
