O my soul, come not thou into their council; Unto their assembly, my glory, be not thou united; For in their anger they slew a man, And in their self-will they hocked an ox.


and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.


And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.


He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab; for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly.


Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress,\par\tab That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands,\par\tab And shine upon the counsel of the wicked?


Lo, their prosperity is not in their hand:\par\tab The counsel of the wicked is far from me.\par


If I have walked with falsehood,\par\tab And my foot hath hasted to deceit


For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous;\par\tab But the way of the wicked shall perish.\par


Blessed are they that keep justice,\par\tab And he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Good understanding giveth favor;\par\tab But the way of the transgressor is hard.


Walk with wise men, and thou shalt be wise;\par\tab But the companion of fools shall smart for it.


Judgments are prepared for scoffers,\par\tab And stripes for the back of fools.\par


To deliver thee from the way of evil,\par\tab From the men that speak perverse things;

The way of the wicked is as darkness:\par\tab They know not at what they stumble.\par

I sat not in the assembly of them that make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation.


Blessed is the man that trusteth in Jehovah, and whose trust Jehovah is.


And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have the right to come to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
