A Psalm by David, when he fled from his son Absalom. 1 YHWH, how my adversaries increase! Many who rise up against me. 2 Many are saying of my soul, “There is no deliverance for him in God.” Selah. 3 But you, YHWH, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. 4 I cry out to YHWH with my voice, and ʜᴇ answers me from ʜɪꜱ holy mountain. Selah. 5 I lie down and sleep. I awaken because YHWH sustains me. 6 I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have surround me on every side. 7 Rise up, YHWH! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the jaw. You have broken the teeth of the wicked. 8 Salvation belongs to YHWH. May your blessing be on your people. Selah. |
