Psalm 4 - Y'all Version Bible

For the music director, on stringed instruments. A Psalm by David.

¹ Answer me when I call, my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

² Children of humanity, how long will my glory be turned into dishonor? How long will y’all love what is worthless and seek lies? Selah.

³ But y’all must know that YHWH has set apart the godly for ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ; YHWH will hear when I call to ʜɪᴍ.

⁴ Y’all must tremble and not sin. Y’all must search your* heart on your* bed and be silent. Selah.

⁵ Y’all are to offer the sacrifices of righteousness. and y’all are to trust in YHWH.

⁶ Many are asking, “Who will show us anything good?” Let the light of your face shine on us, YHWH.

⁷ You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine abound.

⁸ In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, YHWH, make me live in safety.
