Psalm 3

¹ “Lord, I have many, many enemies.\par Many people have turned against me.\par

² Many people are talking about me.\par \{Those people say,\}\par “God, won’t rescue him!”\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [7]})\i0 \par

³ But, Lord, you are my shield.\par You are my Glory.\par Lord, you make me important! {\cf2\super [8]} \par

⁴ I will pray to the Lord.\par And he will answer me from his holy mountain!\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [9]})\i0 \par

⁵ I can lie down and rest,\par and I know I will wake up.\par Why? Because the Lord\par covers and protects me!\par

⁶ Thousands of soldiers might surround me.\par But I won’t be afraid of those enemies!\par

⁷ Lord, get up! {\cf2\super [10]} \par My God, come rescue me!\par \{You are very strong!\}\par If you hit my bad enemies on the cheek,\par you will break all their teeth.\par

⁸ Lord, the victory {\cf2\super [11]} is yours!\par Please be good to your people.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [12]})\i0 \par
