¹ Praise the Lord.\par Sing a new song about the new things\par the Lord has done!\par Sing his praise in the assembly\par where his followers meet together.\par

² Let Israel enjoy themselves with their Maker.\par Let the people on Zion {\cf2\super [651]} rejoice with their King.\par

³ Let those people praise God by dancing\par and playing their tambourines and harps.\par

⁴ The Lord is happy with his people.\par God did a wonderful thing for his humble people.\par He saved them!\par

⁵ God’s followers, rejoice in your victory!\par Even after going to bed, be happy.\par

⁶ Let the people shout praise to God\par and take their swords in their hands,\par

⁷ Let them go punish their enemies.\par Let them go punish those people.\par

⁸ God’s people will put chains\par on those kings and important people.\par

⁹ God’s people will punish them\par like God commanded.\par All of God’s followers honor him.\par Praise the Lord!\par
