and Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to them out of their own resources.


For a bishop, as God’s steward, must be blameless; he must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or addicted to wine or violent or greedy for gain,


You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, in order to spend what you get on your pleasures.


Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.
