The SpiritHimselftestifieswith our spiritthat we are childrenof God,
Yet the numberof the sonsof IsraelWill be like the sandof the sea,Whichcannotbe measuredor numbered;And in the placeWhereit is saidto them, "You are not My people,"It will be saidto them, "[You are] the sonsof the livingGod."
"Blessedare the peacemakers,for they shall be calledsonsof God.
for they cannotevendieanymore,becausethey are like angels,and are sonsof God,beingsonsof the resurrection.
But as manyas receivedHim, to them He gavethe rightto becomechildrenof God,[even] to thosewho believein His name,
"And we are witnessesof thesethings;and [so is] the HolySpirit,whomGodhas givento thosewho obeyHim."
For all whoare being ledby the Spiritof God,theseare sonsof God.
For the anxious longingof the creationwaits eagerlyfor the revealingof the sonsof God.
And not onlythis, but alsowe ourselves,havingthe first fruitsof the Spirit,evenwe ourselvesgroanwithinourselves,waiting eagerlyfor [our] adoption as sons,the redemptionof our body.
In the same waythe Spiritalsohelpsour weakness;for we do not knowhowto prayas we should,but the SpiritHimselfintercedesfor [us] with groaningstoo deep for words;
"AND IT SHALL BE THAT IN THE PLACEWHEREIT WAS SAIDTO THEM, 'YOU ARE NOT MY PEOPLE,'THERETHEY SHALL BE CALLEDSONSOF THE LIVINGGOD."
That is, it is not the childrenof the fleshwhoare childrenof God,but the childrenof the promiseare regardedas descendants.
For our proud confidenceis this:the testimonyof our conscience,that in holinessand godlysincerity,not in fleshlywisdombut in the graceof God,we have conductedourselves in the world,and especiallytowardyou.
who alsosealedus and gave[us] the Spiritin our heartsas a pledge.
NowHe who preparedus for thisverypurpose is God,who gaveto us the Spiritas a pledge.
"And I will be a fatherto you, And you shall be sonsand daughtersto Me," Saysthe LordAlmighty.
For you are allsonsof Godthroughfaithin ChristJesus.
Becauseyou are sons,Godhas sent forththe Spiritof His Soninto our hearts,crying,"Abba!Father!"
In Him, you also,after listeningto the messageof truth,the gospelof your salvation--having alsobelieved,you were sealedin Him with the HolySpiritof promise,
Do not grievethe HolySpiritof God,by whomyou were sealedfor the dayof redemption.
"You are the sonsof the LORDyour God;you shall not cutyourselves norshaveyour foreheadfor the sake of the dead.
Seehow greata lovethe Fatherhas bestowedon us, that we would be calledchildrenof God;and [such] we are. For thisreasonthe worlddoes not knowus, becauseit did not knowHim.
By thisthe childrenof Godand the childrenof the devilare obvious:anyonewho does not practicerighteousnessis not of God,northe one who does not lovehis brother.
Beloved,nowwe are childrenof God,and it has not appearedas yetwhatwe will be. We knowthat whenHe appears,we will be likeHim, becausewe will seeHim justas He is.
By thiswe knowthat we abidein Him and He in us, becauseHe has givenus of His Spirit.
The one who believesin the Sonof Godhasthe testimonyin himself;the one who does not believeGodhas madeHim a liar,becausehe has not believedin the testimonythat Godhas givenconcerningHis Son.
"He who overcomeswill inheritthese things,and I will be his Godand he will be My son.
