Thus they exchangedtheir gloryFor the imageof an oxthat eatsgrass.

Liftup your eyeson highAnd seewhohas createdthese[stars], The One who leadsforththeir hostby number,He callsthem allby name;Becauseof the greatnessof His mightand the strengthof [His] power,Not one[of them] is missing.
[Another] shapeswood,he extendsa measuringline;he outlinesit with red chalk.He worksit with planesand outlinesit with a compass,and makesit like the formof a man,like the beautyof man,so that it may sitin a house.
"Has a nationchangedgodsWhen they were not gods?But My peoplehave changedtheir gloryFor that which does not profit.
So I enteredand looked,and behold,everyformof creepingthingsand beasts[and] detestablethings,with allthe idolsof the houseof Israel,were carvedon the wallallaround.
and there were in it all[kinds of] four-footed animalsand crawling creaturesof the earthand birdsof the air.
"Beingthenthe childrenof God,we oughtnot to thinkthat the Divine Natureis likegoldorsilverorstone,an image formedby the artand thoughtof man.
For they exchangedthe truthof Godfor a lie,and worshipedand servedthe creaturerather thanthe Creator,whois blessedforever.Amen.
