The firstsounded,and there camehailand fire,mixedwith blood,and they were thrownto the earth;and a thirdof the earthwas burnedup, and a thirdof the treeswere burnedup, and allthe greengrasswas burnedup.
He gavethem hailfor rain,[And] flamingfirein their land.
So Moseswentout of the cityfrom Pharaoh,and spreadout his handsto the LORD;and the thunderand the hailceased,and rainnolonger pouredon the earth.
Behold,the Lordhas a strongand mighty[agent]; As a stormof hail,a tempestof destruction,Like a stormof mightyoverflowingwaters,He has cast[it] downto the earthwith [His] hand.
From the LORDof hostsyou will be punishedwith thunderand earthquakeand loudnoise,[With] whirlwindand tempestand the flameof a consumingfire.
And the LORDwill cause His voiceof authorityto be heard,And the descendingof His armto be seenin fierceanger,And [in] the flameof a consumingfireIn cloudburst,downpourand hailstones.
And it will hailwhen the forestcomesdown,And the citywill be utterlylaidlow.
"With pestilenceand with bloodI will enterinto judgmentwith him; and I will rainon him and on his troops,and on the manypeopleswhoare with him, a torrentialrain,with hailstones,fireand brimstone.
"I will displaywondersin the skyand on the earth,Blood,fireand columnsof smoke.
For the sunriseswith a scorching windand withersthe grass;and its flowerfalls offand the beautyof its appearanceis destroyed;sotoothe rich manin the midst of his pursuitswill fade away.
As they fledfrom beforeIsrael,[while] they were at the descentof Beth-horon,the LORDthrewlargestonesfrom heavenon them as faras Azekah,and they died;[there were] morewhodiedfrom the hailstonesthanthose whomthe sonsof Israelkilledwith the sword.
For, "ALLFLESHIS LIKEGRASS,AND ALLITS GLORYLIKETHE FLOWEROF GRASS.THE GRASSWITHERS,AND THE FLOWERFALLS OFF,
And his tailswept awaya thirdof the starsof heavenand threwthem to the earth.And the dragonstoodbeforethe womanwho was aboutto givebirth,sothat whenshe gave birthhe might devourher child.
Sothe first[angel] wentand pouredout his bowlon the earth;and it becamea loathsomeand malignantsoreon the peoplewho hadthe markof the beastand who worshipedhis image.
And hugehailstones,aboutone hundred poundseach, came downfrom heavenupon men;and menblasphemedGodbecauseof the plagueof the hail,becauseits plaguewas extremelysevere.
I looked,and behold,an ashenhorse;and he who saton it had the nameDeath;and Hadeswas followingwith him. Authoritywas givento them overa fourthof the earth,to killwith swordand with famineand with pestilenceand by the wild beastsof the earth.
AfterthisI sawfourangelsstandingat the fourcornersof the earth,holding backthe fourwindsof the earth,sothat nowindwould blowon the earthoron the seaoron anytree.
And the fourangels,who had been preparedfor the hourand dayand monthand year,were released,sothat they would killa thirdof mankind.
A thirdof mankindwas killedby thesethreeplagues,by the fireand the smokeand the brimstonewhich proceededout of their mouths.
They were toldnot to hurtthe grassof the earth,noranygreen thing,noranytree,but onlythe menwhodo not havethe sealof Godon their foreheads.
