"Ifhis sonsforsakeMy lawAnd do not walkin My judgments,
"I will be a fatherto him and he will be a sonto Me; whenhe commitsiniquity,I will correcthim with the rodof menand the strokesof the sonsof men,
"As for you, my sonSolomon,knowthe Godof your father,and serveHim with a wholeheartand a willingmind;for the LORDsearchesallhearts,and understandseveryintentof the thoughts.Ifyou seekHim, He will let you findHim; but ifyou forsakeHim, He will rejectyou forever.
Burningindignationhas seizedme becauseof the wicked,Who forsakeYour law.
"Ifyour sonswill keepMy covenantAnd My testimonywhichI will teachthem, Their sonsalsoshall situpon your throneforever."
The heavenswill praiseYour wonders,O LORD;Your faithfulnessalsoin the assemblyof the holyones.
Those who forsakethe lawpraisethe wicked,But those who keepthe lawstrivewith them.
For I giveyou soundteaching;Do not abandonmy instruction.
"For thussaysthe LORD,Davidshall neverlacka manto siton the throneof the houseof Israel;
he keepshis handfrom the poor,does not takeinterestor increase,[but] executesMy ordinances,and walksin My statutes;he will not diefor his father'siniquity,he will surelylive.
[if] he walksin My statutesand My ordinancesso as to dealfaithfully--he is righteous[and] will surelylive,"declaresthe LordGOD.
I am the LORDyour God;walkin My statutesand keepMy ordinancesand observethem.
They were bothrighteousin the sightof God,walkingblamelesslyin allthe commandmentsand requirementsof the Lord.
sothat your daysand the daysof your sonsmay be multipliedon the landwhichthe LORDsworeto your fathersto givethem, as longas the heavens[remain] abovethe earth.
