Keepme from the jawsof the trapwhich they have setfor me, And from the snaresof those who doiniquity.
My soulis amonglions;I must lieamong those who breatheforthfire,[Even] the sonsof men,whose teethare spearsand arrowsAnd their tonguea sharpsword.
Let them flowaway likewaterthat runsoff;[When] he aimshis arrows,let them be as headlessshafts.
Thereis one who speaksrashlylike the thrustsof a sword,But the tongueof the wisebringshealing.
There is a kindof [man] whose teethare [like] swordsAnd his jawteeth[like] knives,To devourthe afflictedfrom the earthAnd the needyfrom among men.
"Noweaponthat is formedagainstyou will prosper;And everytonguethat accusesyou in judgmentyou will condemn.Thisis the heritageof the servantsof the LORD,And their vindicationis from Me," declaresthe LORD.
"They bendtheir tongue[like] their bow;Liesand not truthprevailin the land;For they proceedfrom evilto evil,And they do not knowMe," declaresthe LORD.
