And Davidwas dancingbeforethe LORDwith all[his] might,and Davidwas wearinga linenephod.
Then it happened[as] the arkof the LORDcameinto the cityof Davidthat Michalthe daughterof Saullookedout of the windowand sawKingDavidleapingand dancingbeforethe LORD;and she despisedhim in her heart.
And with them [were] Hemanand Jeduthun[with] trumpetsand cymbalsfor those who should soundaloud, and [with] instruments[for] the songsof God,and the sonsof Jeduthunfor the gate.
Allthesewere underthe directionof their fatherto singin the houseof the LORD,with cymbals,harpsand lyres,for the serviceof the houseof God.Asaph,Jeduthunand Heman[were] underthe directionof the king.
They cameto Jerusalemwith harps,lyresand trumpetsto the houseof the LORD.
He then stationedthe Levitesin the houseof the LORDwith cymbals,with harpsand with lyres,according to the commandof Davidand of Gadthe king'sseer,and of Nathanthe prophet;for the commandwas from the LORDthroughHis prophets.
Now when the buildershad laidthe foundationof the templeof the LORD,the priestsstoodin their apparelwith trumpets,and the Levites,the sonsof Asaph,with cymbals,to praisethe LORDaccordingto the directionsof KingDavidof Israel.
You have turnedfor me my mourninginto dancing;You have loosedmy sackclothand girdedme with gladness,
Givethanksto the LORDwith the lyre;Singpraisesto Him with a harpof tenstrings.
Raisea song,strikethe timbrel,The sweetsoundinglyrewith the harp.
Blowthe trumpetat the newmoon,At the fullmoon,on our feastday.
Then those who singas well as those who playthe flutes[shall say], "Allmy springs[of joy] are in you."
Miriamthe prophetess,Aaron'ssister,tookthe timbrelin her hand,and allthe womenwentout afterher with timbrelsand with dancing.
"Thenthe virginwill rejoicein the dance,And the youngmenand the old,together,For I will turntheir mourninginto joyAnd will comfortthem and givethem joyfor their sorrow.
"AgainI will buildyou and you will be rebuilt,O virginof Israel!Againyou will takeup your tambourines,And goforthto the dancesof the merrymakers.
When Jephthahcameto his houseat Mizpah,behold,his daughterwas comingout to meethim with tambourinesand with dancing.Now she was his one[and] onlychild;besidesher he hadnosonordaughter.
