So Godwas goodto the midwives,and the peoplemultiplied,and becameverymighty.
But they liein waitfor their own blood;They ambushtheir own lives.
The wagesof the righteousis life,The incomeof the wicked,punishment.
He who sowsiniquitywill reapvanity,And the rodof his furywill perish.
His own iniquitieswill capturethe wicked,And he will be heldwith the cordsof his sin.
He who digsa pitmay fallinto it, and a serpentmay bitehim who breaksthrougha wall.
Their heartis faithless;Nowthey must beartheir guilt.The LORD will breakdowntheir altars[And] destroytheir [sacred] pillars.
"Alreadyhe who reapsis receivingwagesand is gatheringfruitfor lifeeternal;sothat he who sowsand he who reapsmay rejoicetogether.
that, in referenceto your formermanner of life,you lay asidethe oldself,which is being corruptedin accordancewith the lustsof deceit,
And the seed whose fruitis righteousnessis sownin peaceby thosewho makepeace.
