the latter[do it] out of love,knowingthat I am appointedfor the defenseof the gospel;

For they have persecutedhim whomYou Yourselfhave smitten,And they tellof the painof those whom You have wounded.
For ifI dothisvoluntarily,I havea reward;but ifagainst my will,I have a stewardshipentrustedto me.
For we are not likemany,peddlingthe wordof God,but as from sincerity,but as from God,we speakin Christin the sightof God.
sothat you may approvethe things that are excellent,in orderto be sincereand blamelessuntilthe dayof Christ;
NowI wantyou to know,brethren,that my circumstanceshave turnedout for the greaterprogressof the gospel,
in viewof your participationin the gospelfrom the firstdayuntilnow.
For it is onlyrightfor me to feelthis wayaboutyou all,becauseI haveyou in my heart,since bothin my imprisonmentand in the defenseand confirmationof the gospel,you allare partakersof gracewith me.
But you knowof his proven worth,that he servedwith me in the furtherance of the gospellikea child[serving] his father.
You yourselvesalsoknow,Philippians,that at the firstpreaching of the gospel,afterI leftMacedonia,nochurchsharedwith me in the matterof givingand receivingbut you alone;
Indeed,true companion,I askyou alsoto helpthesewomenwhohave shared my strugglein [the cause of] the gospel,togetherwith Clementalsoand the restof my fellow workers,whosenamesare in the bookof life.
