Thisis the lawof jealousy:whena wife,[being] under[the authority of] her husband,goesastrayand defilesherself,
"You relyon your sword,you commitabominationsand eachof you defileshis neighbor'swife.Should you then possessthe land?"'
Thisis the lawregarding the animaland the bird,and everylivingthingthat movesin the watersand everythingthat swarmson the earth,
Thisis the lawfor the markof leprosyin a garmentof woolorlinen,whetherin the warporin the woof,orin anyarticleof leather,for pronouncingit cleanorunclean.
Now thisis the lawof the sacrificeof peaceofferingswhichshall be presentedto the LORD.
"Speakto the sonsof Israeland sayto them, 'Ifanyman'swifegoesastrayand is unfaithfulto him,
the manshall then bringhis wifeto the priest,and shall bring[as] an offeringfor her one-tenthof an ephahof barleymeal;he shall not pouroilon it norputfrankincenseon it, for it is a grain offeringof jealousy,a grain offeringof memorial,a reminderof iniquity.
The priestshall have her takean oathand shall sayto the woman,"Ifnomanhas lainwith you and ifyou have not goneastrayinto uncleanness,[being] under[the authority of] your husband,be immuneto thiswaterof bitternessthat bringsa curse;
But ifthe womanhas not defiledherself and is clean,she will then be freeand conceivechildren.
orwhena spiritof jealousycomesovera manand he is jealousof his wife,he shall then make the womanstandbeforethe LORD,and the priestshall applyallthislawto her.
