and the priestshall takeholywaterin an earthenwarevessel;and he shall takesomeof the dustthat is on the floorof the tabernacleand put[it] into the water.
When they liftedup their eyesat a distanceand did not recognizehim, they raisedtheir voicesand wept.And eachof them torehis robeand they threwdustovertheir headstoward the sky.
"You shall also makea laverof bronze,with its baseof bronze,for washing;and you shall putit betweenthe tentof meetingand the altar,and you shall putwaterin it.
O LORD,the hopeof Israel,Allwho forsakeYou will be putto shame.Those who turnawayon earthwill be writtendown,Becausethey have forsakenthe fountainof livingwater,even the LORD.
Let him puthis mouthin the dust,Perhapsthereis hope.
Then the priestshall bringher nearand have her standbeforethe LORD,
The priestshall then have the womanstandbeforethe LORDand let[the hair of] the woman'sheadgoloose,and placethe grain offeringof memorialin her hands,whichis the grain offeringof jealousy,and in the handof the priestis to be the waterof bitternessthat bringsa curse.
They were sayingthis,testingHim, sothat they might havegrounds for accusingHim. But Jesusstoopeddownand with His fingerwroteon the ground.
AgainHe stooped downand wroteon the ground.
