Heshbonand Elealehalso cryout, Their voiceis heardallthe wayto Jahaz;Thereforethe armedmen of Moabcryaloud;His soultrembleswithin him.
So it will comeabout whenMoabpresentshimself, Whenhe wearieshimself upon [his] highplaceAnd comesto his sanctuaryto pray,That he will not prevail.
"So I will sendfireupon the wallof TyreAnd it will consumeher citadels."
"So I will sendfireupon TemanAnd it will consumethe citadelsof Bozrah."
"So I will kindlea fireon the wallof RabbahAnd it will consumeher citadelsAmid warcrieson the dayof battle,And a stormon the dayof tempest.
"So I will sendfireupon the houseof HazaelAnd it will consumethe citadelsof Ben-hadad.
"So I will sendfireupon the wallof GazaAnd it will consumeher citadels.
"So I will sendfireupon MoabAnd it will consumethe citadelsof Kerioth;And Moabwill dieamid tumult,With warcriesand the soundof a trumpet.
"So I will sendfireupon JudahAnd it will consumethe citadelsof Jerusalem."
And the slopeof the wadisThat extendsto the siteof Ar,And leansto the borderof Moab."
Thereforethose who useproverbssay,"Cometo Heshbon!Let it be built!So let the cityof Sihonbe established.
Then it cameabout in the morningthat BalaktookBalaamand broughthim up to the highplacesof Baal,and he sawfrom therea portionof the people.
Todayyou shall crossoverAr,the borderof Moab.
"Then the LORDsaidto me, 'Do not harassMoab,norprovokethem to war,for I will not giveyou anyof their landas a possession,becauseI have givenArto the sonsof Lotas a possession.
"The bramblesaidto the trees,'Ifin truthyou are anointingme as kingoveryou, comeand takerefugein my shade;but ifnot, may firecomeout from the brambleand consumethe cedarsof Lebanon.'
"But ifnot, let firecomeout from Abimelechand consumethe menof Shechemand Beth-millo;and let firecomeout from the menof Shechemand from Beth-millo,and consumeAbimelech."
