Then the LORDspoketo Mosesin the wildernessof Sinai,in the tentof meeting,on the firstof the secondmonth, in the secondyearafter they had comeout of the landof Egypt,saying,
Now it cameabout in the fourhundredand eightiethyearafter the sonsof Israelcameout of the landof Egypt,in the fourthyearof Solomon'sreignoverIsrael,in the monthof Zivwhichis the secondmonth,that he began to buildthe houseof the LORD.
In the thirdmonthafter the sonsof Israelhad goneout of the landof Egypt,on that very daythey cameinto the wildernessof Sinai.
When they setout from Rephidim,they cameto the wildernessof Sinaiand campedin the wilderness;and thereIsraelcampedin frontof the mountain.
"ThereI will meetwith you; and from abovethe mercyseat,from betweenthe twocherubimwhichare upon the arkof the testimony,I will speakto you about allthat I will giveyou in commandmentfor the sonsof Israel.
Now in the firstmonthof the secondyear,on the first[day] of the month,the tabernaclewas erected.
"On the firstdayof the firstmonthyou shall setup the tabernacleof the tentof meeting.
Then the LORDcalledto Mosesand spoketo him from the tentof meeting,saying,
Theseare the commandmentswhichthe LORDcommandedMosesfor the sonsof Israelat MountSinai.
and they assembledallthe congregationtogether on the firstof the secondmonth.Then they registeredby ancestryin their families,by their fathers'households,according to the numberof names,from twentyyearsoldand upward,headby head,
Suddenlythe LORDsaidto Mosesand Aaronand to Miriam,"You threecomeout to the tentof meeting."So the threeof them cameout.
Thus the LORDspoketo Mosesin the wildernessof Sinai,in the firstmonthof the secondyearafter they had comeout of the landof Egypt,saying,
In the fortiethyear,on the first[day] of the eleventhmonth,Mosesspoketo the childrenof Israel,according to allthat the LORDhad commandedhim [to give] to them,
"Now the timethat it tookfor us to comefrom Kadesh-barneauntilwe crossedoverthe brookZeredwas thirty-eightyears,untilallthe generationof the menof warperishedfrom withinthe camp,as the LORDhad swornto them.
"For the LORDyour Godhas blessedyou in allthat you have done;He has knownyour wanderingsthrough thisgreatwilderness.Thesefortyyearsthe LORDyour Godhas been with you; you have not lackeda thing."'
