And someof the scribessaidto themselves,"This[fellow] blasphemes."
Moreover, the one who blasphemesthe nameof the LORDshall surelybe putto death;allthe congregationshall certainlystonehim. The alienas well as the native,when he blasphemesthe Name,shall be putto death.
But the personwhodoes[anything] defiantly,whetherhe is nativeor an alien,that oneis blasphemingthe LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom amonghis people.
Thenthe high priesttorehis robesand said,"He has blasphemed!Whatfurtherneeddo we haveof witnesses?Behold,you have nowheardthe blasphemy;
for He was teachingthem as [one] havingauthority,and not as their scribes.
"You have heardthe blasphemy;howdoes it seemto you?" And they allcondemnedHim to be deservingof death.
"TrulyI sayto you, allsinsshall be forgiventhe sonsof men,and whateverblasphemiesthey utter;
but whoeverblasphemesagainstthe HolySpiritneverhasforgiveness,but is guiltyof an eternalsin"--
"For from within,out of the heartof men,proceedthe evilthoughts,fornications,thefts,murders,adulteries,
The scribesand the Phariseesbeganto reason,saying,"Whois this[man] whospeaksblasphemies?Whocanforgivesins,but Godalone?"
