For I was hungry,and you gaveMe [something] to eat;I was thirsty,and you gave Me [something] to drink;I was a stranger,and you invitedMe in;
As she was goingto get[it], he calledto her and said,"Pleasebringme a pieceof breadin your hand."
"The alienhas not lodgedoutside,[For] I have openedmy doorsto the traveler.
He who despiseshis neighborsins,But happyis he who is graciousto the poor.
He who oppressesthe poortauntshis Maker,But he who is graciousto the needyhonorsHim.

"For you alwayshavethe poorwith you; but you do not alwayshaveMe.

"But givethat which is withinas charity,and thenall thingsare cleanfor you.
For somewere supposing,becauseJudashadthe money box,that Jesuswas sayingto him, "Buythe things we haveneedof for the feast";or else,that he should givesomethingto the poor.
and he said,'Cornelius,your prayerhas been heardand your almshave been rememberedbeforeGod.
And in the proportionthat anyof the discipleshad means,eachof them determinedto send[a contribution] for the reliefof the brethrenlivingin Judea.
And whenshe and her householdhad been baptized,she urgedus, saying,"Ifyou have judgedme to be faithfulto the Lord,comeinto my houseand stay."And she prevailedupon us.
And the congregationof thosewho believedwere of oneheartand soul;and not one[of them] claimedthat anythingbelongingto him was his own,but all thingswere common propertyto them.

having a reputationfor goodworks;[and] ifshe has brought up children,ifshe has shown hospitality to strangers,ifshe has washedthe saints'feet,ifshe has assistedthose in distress,[and] ifshe has devoted herselfto everygoodwork.
For I have come to havemuchjoyand comfortin your love,becausethe heartsof the saintshave been refreshedthroughyou, brother.
And do not neglectdoing goodand sharing,for with suchsacrificesGodis pleased.
For Godis not unjustso as to forgetyour workand the lovewhichyou have showntowardHis name,in having ministeredand in still ministeringto the saints.
Pureand undefiledreligionin the sightof [our] Godand Fatheris this:to visitorphansand widowsin their distress,[and] to keeponeselfunstainedby the world.
