And JesuscalledHis disciplesto Him, and said,"I feel compassionfor the people,becausethey have remainedwith Me nowthreedaysand havenothingto eat;and I do not wantto send them awayhungry,for they might fainton the way."
Now a mancamefrom Baal-shalishah,and broughtthe manof Godbreadof the firstfruits,twentyloavesof barleyand freshearsof grainin his sack.And he said,"Give[them] to the peoplethat they may eat."
for justas JONAHWAS THREEDAYSAND THREENIGHTSIN THE BELLYOF THE SEA MONSTER,sowill the Sonof Manbe threedaysand threenightsin the heartof the earth.
Nowwhen Jesusheard[about John], He withdrewfrom therein a boatto a secludedplaceby Himself;and when the peopleheard[of this], they followedHim on footfrom the cities.
The disciplessaidto Him, "Wherewould we get somanyloavesin [this] desolate placeto satisfysucha largecrowd?"
Moved with compassion,Jesustouchedtheir eyes;and immediatelythey regained their sightand followedHim.
and said,"Sir,we rememberthat when He was stillalivethat deceiversaid,AfterthreedaysI [am to] rise again.'
Seeingthe people,He felt compassionfor them, becausethey were distressedand dispiritedlikesheepwithouta shepherd.
"It has oftenthrownhim bothinto the fireand into the waterto destroyhim. But ifYou cando anything,take pityon us and helpus!"
When the Lordsawher, He felt compassionfor her, and saidto her, "Do not weep."
Untilthe daywas aboutto dawn,Paulwas encouragingthem allto takesome food,saying,"Todayis the fourteenthdaythat you have been constantlywatchingand going without eating,having takennothing.
For we do not havea high priestwhocannotsympathizewith our weaknesses,but One whohas been temptedin all thingsas [we are, yet] withoutsin.
