Sothe crowdmarveledas they sawthe mutespeaking,the crippledrestored,and the lamewalking,and the blindseeing;and they glorifiedthe Godof Israel.
He said,"Your nameshall nolongerbe Jacob,but Israel;for you have strivenwith Godand with menand have prevailed."
Then he erectedtherean altarand calledit El-Elohe-Israel.
Callupon Me in the dayof trouble;I shall rescueyou, and you will honorMe."
"He who offersa sacrificeof thanksgivinghonorsMe; And to him who orders[his] way[aright] I shall showthe salvationof God."
and they sawthe Godof Israel;and underHis feetthere appeared to be a pavementof sapphire,as clearas the skyitself.
And largecrowdscameto Him, bringingwith them [those who were] lame,crippled,blind,mute,and manyothers,and they laid them downat His feet;and He healedthem.
"Ifyour handoryour footcauses you to stumble,cut it offand throwit from you; it is betterfor you to enterlifecrippledorlame,thanto havetwohandsortwofeetand be castinto the eternalfire.
And [the] blindand [the] lamecameto Him in the temple,and He healedthem.
Nowwhen Jesusheard[this], He marveledand saidto thosewho were following,"TrulyI sayto you, I have not foundsuch greatfaithwith anyonein Israel.
As they were goingout, a mute,demon-possessedmanwas broughtto Him.
After the demonwas castout, the mute manspoke;and the crowdswere amazed,[and were] saying,"Nothinglike thishas everbeen seenin Israel."
But when the crowdssaw[this], they were awestruck,and glorifiedGod,who had givensuchauthorityto men.
And he gotup and immediatelypickedup the palletand wentout in the sightof everyone,sothat they were allamazedand were glorifyingGod,saying,"We have neverseenanything like this."
They were utterlyastonished,saying,"He has doneall thingswell;He makeseventhe deafto hearand the muteto speak."
"Ifyour handcauses you to stumble,cut it off;it is betterfor you to enterlifecrippled,than,havingyour twohands,to gointo hell,into the unquenchablefire,
"But whenyou givea reception,invite[the] poor,[the] crippled,[the] lame,[the] blind,
"And the slavecame[back] and reportedthisto his master.Thenthe head of the householdbecame angryand saidto his slave,'Goout at onceinto the streetsand lanesof the cityand bringin herethe poorand crippledand blindand lame.'
Immediatelyhe regained his sightand [began] followingHim, glorifyingGod;and when allthe peoplesawit, they gavepraiseto God.
Feargrippedthem all,and they [began] glorifyingGod,saying,"A greatprophethas arisenamongus!" and, "Godhas visitedHis people!"
Soa second timethey calledthe manwhohad beenblind,and saidto him, "Givegloryto God;we knowthat thismanis a sinner."
