Jesus gave them permission.And comingout, the uncleanspiritsenteredthe swine;and the herdrusheddownthe steep bankinto the sea,abouttwo thousand[of them]; and they were drownedin the sea.
"The LORDsaidto him, 'How?'And he said,'I will goout and be a deceivingspiritin the mouthof allhis prophets.'Then He said,'You are to entice[him] and alsoprevail.Goand doso.'
Then the LORDsaidto Satan,"Behold,allthat he has is in your power,onlydo not putforthyour handon him." So Satandepartedfrom the presenceof the LORD.
So the LORDsaidto Satan,"Behold,he is in your power,onlysparehis life."
"Do not givewhatis holyto dogs,and do not throwyour pearlsbeforeswine,orthey will trample them undertheir feet,and turnand tear you to pieces.
And He saidto them, "Go!"And they cameout and wentinto the swine,and the wholeherdrusheddownthe steep bankinto the seaand perishedin the waters.
[The demons] imploredHim, saying,"Sendus into the swinesothat we may enterthem."
Their herdsmenran awayand reportedit in the cityand in the country.And [the people] cameto seewhatit was that had happened.
"You are of [your] fatherthe devil,and you wantto dothe desiresof your father.He was a murdererfrom the beginning,and does not standin the truthbecausethere is notruthin him. Wheneverhe speaksa lie,he speaksfrom his own[nature], for he is a liarand the fatherof lies.
whois at the right handof God,having goneinto heaven,after angelsand authoritiesand powershad been subjectedto Him.
Whenthe thousandyearsare completed,Satanwill be releasedfrom his prison,
They haveas kingoverthem, the angelof the abyss;his namein Hebrewis Abaddon,and in the Greekhe hasthe nameApollyon.
