After looking aroundat them with anger,grievedat their hardnessof heart,He saidto the man,"Stretchout your hand."And he stretchedit out, and his handwas restored.
The LORDwas sorrythat He had mademanon the earth,and He was grievedin His heart.
The kingsaidto the manof God,"Pleaseentreatthe LORDyour God,and prayfor me, that my handmay be restoredto me." So the manof Godentreatedthe LORD,and the king'shandwas restoredto him, and it becameas it was before.
It was verydispleasingto me, so I threwallof Tobiah'shouseholdgoodsout of the room.
"For fortyyearsI loathed[that] generation,And saidthey are a peoplewho errin their heart,And they do not knowMy ways.
ThenHe saidto the man,"Stretchout your hand!"He stretchedit out, and it was restoredto normal,likethe other.
And He saidto them, "Is it lawfulto dogoodorto do harmon the Sabbath,to savea lifeorto kill?"But they kept silent.
But the Lordansweredhim and said,"You hypocrites,does not eachof you on the Sabbathuntiehis oxorhis donkeyfrom the stalland lead him awayto water[him]?
When He sawthem, He saidto them, "Goand showyourselvesto the priests."And as they were going,they were cleansed.
After looking aroundat them all,He saidto him, "Stretchout your hand!"And he did[so]; and his handwas restored.
and saidto him, "Go,washin the poolof Siloam"(whichis translated,Sent).Sohe went awayand washed,and came[back] seeing.
For I do not wantyou, brethren,to be uninformedof thismystery--sothat you will not be wisein your own estimation--that a partialhardeninghas happenedto Israeluntilthe fullnessof the Gentileshas comein;
But their mindswere hardened;for untilthis verydayat the readingof the oldcovenantthe sameveilremainsunlifted,becauseit is removedin Christ.
beingdarkenedin their understanding,excludedfrom the lifeof Godbecauseof the ignorancethat is in them, becauseof the hardnessof their heart;
BE ANGRY,AND [yet] DO NOT SIN;do not let the sungo downon your anger,
Do not grievethe HolySpiritof God,by whomyou were sealedfor the dayof redemption.
"THEREFOREI WAS ANGRYWITH THISGENERATION,AND SAID,'THEY ALWAYSGO ASTRAYIN THEIR HEART,AND THEY DID NOT KNOWMY WAYS';
And with whomwas He angryfor fortyyears?Was it not with thosewhosinned,whosebodiesfellin the wilderness?
And having been made perfect,He becameto allthosewho obeyHim the sourceof eternalsalvation,
and they saidto the mountainsand to the rocks,"Fallon us and hideus from the presenceof Him who sitson the throne,and from the wrathof the Lamb;
So they putawaythe foreigngodsfrom amongthem and servedthe LORD;and He couldbearthe miseryof Israelnolonger.
Then Jonathanarosefrom the tablein fierceanger,and did not eatfoodon the seconddayof the newmoon,for he was grievedoverDavidbecausehis fatherhad dishonoredhim.
