OnedayHe was teaching;and there were [some] Phariseesand teachers of the lawsitting[there], whohad comefrom everyvillageof Galileeand Judeaand [from] Jerusalem;and the powerof the Lordwas [present] for Him to perform healing.
[the] BLINDRECEIVE SIGHTand [the] lamewalk,[the] lepersare cleansedand [the] deafhear,[the] deadare raisedup, and [the] POORHAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHEDTO THEM.
Thensome Phariseesand scribescameto Jesusfrom Jerusalemand said,
But he wentout and beganto proclaimit freelyand to spreadthe newsaround,to such an extentthat Jesus couldno longerpubliclyentera city,but stayedout in unpopulatedareas;and they were comingto Him from everywhere.
they will pickup serpents,and ifthey drinkanydeadly[poison], it will not hurtthem; they will layhandson the sick,and they will recover."
The scribeswho came downfrom Jerusalemwere saying,"He is possessedby Beelzebul,"and "He castsout the demonsby the rulerof the demons."
ImmediatelyJesus,perceivingin Himselfthat the power[proceeding] from Him had gone forth,turned aroundin the crowdand said,"WhotouchedMy garments?"
The Phariseesand someof the scribesgatheredaroundHim when they had comefrom Jerusalem,
Boththe Phariseesand the scribes[began] to grumble,saying,"This manreceivessinnersand eatswith them."
Then,afterthreedaysthey foundHim in the temple,sittingin the midstof the teachers,bothlisteningto them and asking them questions.
The scribesand the Phariseesbeganto reason,saying,"Whois this[man] whospeaksblasphemies?Whocanforgivesins,but Godalone?"
The Phariseesand their scribes[began] grumblingat His disciples,saying,"Whydo you eatand drinkwith the tax collectorsand sinners?"
And allthe peoplewere tryingto touchHim, for powerwas comingfrom Him and healing[them] all.
But the Phariseesand the lawyersrejectedGod'spurposefor themselves,not having been baptizedby John.
But Jesussaid,"Someonedid touchMe, for I was awarethat powerhad goneout of Me."
Jesusansweredand saidto him, "Are you the teacherof Israeland do not understandthese things?
"But he who practicesthe truthcomesto the Light,sothat his deedsmay be manifestedas having beenwroughtin God."
Godwas performingextraordinarymiraclesby the handsof Paul,
whileYou extendYour handto heal,and signsand wonderstake placethroughthe nameof Your holyservantJesus."
But a PhariseenamedGamaliel,a teacher of the Law,respectedby allthe people,stoodup in the Counciland gave ordersto putthe menoutsidefor a short time.
