Demonsalsowere comingout of many,shouting,"You are the Sonof God!"But rebukingthem, He would not allowthem to speak,becausethey knewHim to be the Christ.
But Jesuskept silent.And the high priestsaidto Him, "I adjureYou by the livingGod,that You tellus whetherYou are the Christ,the Sonof God."
And the temptercameand saidto Him, "IfYou are the Sonof God,commandthat thesestonesbecomebread."
When eveningcame,they broughtto Him manywho were demon-possessed;and He castout the spiritswith a word,and healedallwho were ill.
And they criedout, saying,"Whatbusiness do we have with each other, Sonof God?Have You comehereto tormentus beforethe time?"
And Jesussaidto him, "Seethat you tellno one;but go,showyourselfto the priestand presentthe offeringthat Mosescommanded,as a testimonyto them."
And Jesusrebukedhim, saying,"Be quiet,and comeout of him!"
When eveningcame,afterthe sunhad set,they [began] bringingto Him allwho were illand thosewho were demon-possessed.
And He healedmanywho were illwith variousdiseases,and castout manydemons;and He was not permittingthe demonsto speak,becausethey knewwho He was.
Wheneverthe uncleanspiritssawHim, they would fall down beforeHim and shout,"You are the Sonof God!"
And standingoverher, He rebukedthe fever,and it lefther; and she immediatelygotup and waitedon them.
but thesehave been writtensothat you may believethat Jesusis the Christ,the Sonof God;and that believingyou may havelifein His name.
You believethat Godis one.You dowell;the demonsalsobelieve,and shudder.
