But when Herodthe tetrarchwas reprimandedby him becauseof Herodias,his brother'swife,and becauseof allthe wicked thingswhichHerodhad done,
JohntestifiedaboutHim and criedout, saying,"Thiswas He of whomI said,He who comesafterme hasa higher rankthan I, for He existedbeforeme.'"
The next dayhe sawJesuscomingto him and said,"Behold,the Lambof Godwho takes awaythe sinof the world!
"I myselfhave seen,and have testifiedthat thisis the Sonof God."
And with manyotherwordshe solemnly testifiedand kept on exhortingthem, saying,"Be savedfrom thisperversegeneration!"
