But the synagogue official,indignantbecauseJesushad healedon the Sabbath,[began] sayingto the crowdin response,"There are sixdaysin whichworkshouldbe done;socomeduringthem and get healed,and not on the Sabbathday."
"Sixdaysyou shall laborand doallyour work,
"Sixdaysyou are to doyour work,but on the seventhdayyou shall cease[from labor] sothat your oxand your donkeymay rest,and the sonof your femaleslave,as well as your stranger,may refreshthemselves.
"AlsoI gavethem My sabbathsto be a signbetweenMe and them, that they might knowthat I am the LORDwho sanctifiesthem.
"Becauseyou pushwith sideand with shoulder,and thrustat allthe weakwith your hornsuntilyou have scatteredthem abroad,
For sixdaysworkmay be done,but on the seventhdaythere is a sabbathof completerest,a holyconvocation.You shall not doanywork;it is a sabbathto the LORDin allyour dwellings.
But when the Phariseessaw[this], they saidto Him, "Look,Your disciplesdowhatis not lawfulto doon a Sabbath."

But they themselveswere filledwith rage,and discussedtogetherwhatthey might doto Jesus.
The scribesand the Phariseeswere watching Him closely[to see] ifHe healedon the Sabbath,sothat they might find[reason] to accuseHim.
And there camea mannamedJairus,and he was an officialof the synagogue;and he fellat Jesus'feet,and [began] to imploreHim to cometo his house;
Afterthe readingof the Lawand the Prophetsthe synagogue officialssentto them, saying,"Brethren,ifyou have anywordof exhortationfor the people,sayit."
And they alltook holdof Sosthenes,the leader of the synagogue,and [began] beatinghim in frontof the judgment seat.But Galliowas not concernedabout anyof these things.
Crispus,the leader of the synagogue,believedin the Lordwith allhis household,and manyof the Corinthianswhen they heardwere believingand being baptized.
